The USSSA/GSL Softball program will use the “3-Game Guarantee” format in the Mixed World Tournament.
Please follow these procedures to complete your entry into the tournament.
ENTRY PROCEDURE- Teams with Unpaid Berths
All teams must be marked with “World Tournament Eligible” on the www.usssa.com site by their state director. Once a team has been marked “World Tournament Eligible”, the team can enter and pay for the event online at www.usssa.com. All entry fees must be paid online through the www.usssa.com website-NO EXCEPTIONS. Additionally, teams must complete their entry form and travel information sheet and submit to the Tournament Contact the Friday prior to the event entry deadline. State Directors must also confirm the entries of all teams from their respective states into this World Tournament through the online approval process. State Directors must also ensure that each team’s approved roster is entered online at www.usssa.com. THIS IS MANDATORY!
TOURNAMENT ENTRY CONFIRMATION
Teams may confirm they have been entered into the tournament by checking the USSSA/GSL website at www.usssa.com. If your team is not on the website by the Friday prior to the entry deadline, CALL YOUR STATE DIRECTOR IMMEDIATELY.
ROSTERS
Each team’s qualified frozen and approved roster must be posted on the USSSA/GSL website at www.usssa.com. Changes may only be made in accordance with USSSA/GSL eligibility rules in Article IV, Section 5 of the Official USSSA By-Laws. Contact your State Director for assistance. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR OR USSSA NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS REGARDING ROSTER CHANGES!!
All players participating in USSSA/GSL tournament shall have photo ID available. Failure to do so will result in Rule 4, Section 11, A5 in the USSSA/GSL Rule Book to be applied. The offending team loses the game, is ejected from the tournament, placed last in the standing and forfeits all awards, sponsors travel money and tournament berths that would have been awarded at the tournament.
Please note from USSSA National Rulebook, Page 75, Sec. 5.
All World Tournament rosters will become frozen 72 hours prior to the World Tournament and remain frozen until the conclusion of all World Tournaments in that team’s respective program. Players will be bound to this team until the conclusion of
the World Tournament for their respective program with the exception of specialty and seasonal world tournaments. All roster additions must be made 72 hours prior to the start of a World Tournament. In case of an emergency, the National Slow Pitch
Committee may authorize these additions within 72 hours of a championship event.
Uniform Requirements:
In accordance with the USSSA/GSL Slow Pitch By-Laws, all teams must wear similar uniforms. This includes the same color and style jerseys, with or without the team sponsor’s name. Long pants and/or shorts may be worn. Leggings, when worn, must be similar on all team members. Caps are optional; however, when worn, they must be similar. In all programs non-duplicating numbers will be required at World Tournaments. The numbers must be a minimum of 4 inches in size and clearly visible. See Article V, Sec. 8c.
Uniform violations are not grounds for protest. The team without the correct uniform must conform once asked to do so by the Tournament Director.
