Player Notes

Players/Managers,

We welcome you to the Challenge Cup at Space Coast Complex!

Managers have had their meeting and have been emailed Manager Notes.

I also wanted to highlight some very important information to the players for this event, so there is no confusion. I realize sometimes the managers do not communicate these items the way they should be doing. We want everyone to have a smooth week.

ALL PLAYERS must have their government-issued ID on them at ALL TIMES in case of a player protest or full team roster check.

ALL PLAYERS must have their correct uniform jersey reflective of your State. Matching or extremely similar, with non-duplicating uniform numbers. Teams need to have the same color pants or shorts for this week as well.

ALL PERSONS must have a ticket for each day. Please do not try and handle this at the ballpark. You want to purchase these on the Space Coast stadium website at: www.usssaspacecoast.com so you can scan it and keep the line moving.

YOU MUST be ready to play 30 minutes before scheduled game time. 30 minutes prior is forfeit time except for the first game of the day which is game time. This is why you need to purchase tickets in advance.

The rules of game play are USSSA book rule with limited exceptions. We are using the mandatory pitcher runner only, no courtesy runners besides.

Bat testing. Test as a team at the Quad or place you begin playing. No exceptions. Tonight, we are testing only at Stadium for early arrivals.

All bats must be USSSA 240 stamped bats. If you aren't sure what that means, please find out.

Teams can test up to 20 bats or pass a total of 15 bats. We will not be testing bats individually; the team representatives bring the bats at one time. We will log the numbers internally. If people are coming late, mention when you come to the table.

We are NOT HOLDING UP GAMES for bats.

Each field will have a field bucket, and bats must be put in the bucket prior to the game.

Tonight, we have The Launch on all the fields, please come by. Sunday for teams not leaving until Monday we have the opening ceremonies for the First Defense program in the Stadium at 3pm. It should be amazing, again we encourage you to be part of it.

Later in the tournament we will do a re-test and the remaining teams will then have their own bucket with us holding the bats. We will re-test at some point in all divisions.

Thank you and wishing you safe travel to the Space Coast area and Brevard County.

Manager Final Notes

Managers,

Welcome to the USSSA Challenge Cup. Some final reminders for this week's event.

Reminder that we are using the mandatory pitcher runner in all divisions and no other courtesy runners. If it was unclear on the manager Zoom, I sincerely apologize as it was 100% my fault.

ALL persons need a ticket to come to the complex each day. Please direct your team and traveling party to USSSASpacecoast.com to get tickets in advance.

ALL players need to be in correct uniform and ALL players must be not only on your team's roster but must be in the approved column. Managers with roster issues can see me tonight or tomorrow morning at the Stadium Concourse.

ALL teams need to be ready to play 30 minutes prior to your scheduled game time (the 8am games only, game time is forfeit time)

ALL teams need correctly stickered bats to play. Please be at field 90 minutes prior to your first game at the Quad you play at.
